5 Great Commercial Font Bundles for Stress-Free Product Creation
I’m going to show my age a little here, and tell you that Comic Sans was my font when I began creating products on TPT. Don’t judge, it was great for primary kiddos learning letters! Since those days many moons ago, there has been an explosion of “fancy fonts” and font bundles around every corner. Along with that terms like “font pairing,” “matching fonts,” and “designing with fonts” have come into existence.
But there’s a factor a lot of sellers do not consider: you need a commercial license for the font if you plan on distributing anything using that font, even if it’s free. That’s where commercial font bundles come in.
Why do I need commercial font bundles?
Simple: because you can’t sell anything if you use a font that doesn’t have a commercial license. A commercial license allows you to use the font in your products, whether they are paid or free. Personal use licenses cover just that: personal use only. If it’s for personal use, it’s for your use only. No giving it away, no distributing it in any manner. So you get yourself a commercial license.
Buying a commercial license for every single font individually is not only costly but time-consuming as well. Also, there are just way too many beautiful, useful and affordable commercial font bundles to pass up!
The thing is this: you don’t need to buy a million fonts and spend half your sales income. It’s really easy to go down the rabbit hole and buy way too many fonts. The reality is that you won’t use most of them anyway! I’m explaining that you need commercial fonts as a CYA courtesy: Cover Your A**. Don’t use a personal font and then end up in legal trouble over it.
