I’m going to show my age a little here, and tell you that Comic Sans was my font when I began creating products on TPT. Don’t judge, it was great for primary kiddos learning letters! Since those days many moons ago, there has been an explosion of “fancy fonts” and font bundles around every corner. Along with that terms like “font pairing,” “matching fonts,” and “designing with fonts” have come into existence.
But there’s a factor a lot of sellers do not consider: you need a commercial license for the font if you plan on distributing anything using that font, even if it’s free. That’s where commercial font bundles come in.
Why do I need commercial font bundles?
Simple: because you can’t sell anything if you use a font that doesn’t have a commercial license. A commercial license allows you to use the font in your products, whether they are paid or free. Personal use licenses cover just that: personal use only. If it’s for personal use, it’s for your use only. No giving it away, no distributing it in any manner. So you get yourself a commercial license.
Buying a commercial license for every single font individually is not only costly but time-consuming as well. Also, there are just way too many beautiful, useful and affordable commercial font bundles to pass up!
The thing is this: you don’t need to buy a million fonts and spend half your sales income. It’s really easy to go down the rabbit hole and buy way too many fonts. The reality is that you won’t use most of them anyway! I’m explaining that you need commercial fonts as a CYA courtesy: Cover Your A**. Don’t use a personal font and then end up in legal trouble over it.
Here’s a chance for you to just buy what is actually worth it in the long run. I’m going to share my Top 5 Commercial Bundles for product creators. Each of these bundles is perfect for digital or print products, especially Teachers Pay Teachers! Most of them are also perfect for Cricut use to create things like T-shirts, mugs, and signs.
Side note: all of these font bundles have commercial font licenses, so you can use them in all your products!
#1: Fonts4Teachers Font Bundle
This is my all-time favorite of all the commercial font bundles as a teacherpreneur! There are several different bundles to choose from and they’re perfect handwriting fonts. I think my kindergarten teacher heart loves them because of this!
This font bundle includes print, D’Nealian, cursive, boxed letters, phonics letters, and even sign language symbols! It also includes math fonts (think clocks, fractions, and dominoes!) as well as seasonal fonts for holidays. It’s got dotted lines for letter tracing. I’ve used every font in this bundle at some point in my products!
Fonts4Teachers was my first-ever font bundle purchase and it’s still my go-to before any other. It’ll always be #1 on my list!
This bundle is absolutely beautiful and has more than 85 fonts. Some of them have 2 or 3 versions of the font, so you’re really getting about 150 fonts for $25, plus free future updates to the bundle. Look at these samples in the image below: gorgeous!
I use these fonts all the time in my title pages, graphics, and my printable teacherpreneur business planner! They’re flowy and pretty and just really take things to the next level.
This font bundle not only spices up your paper and digital products, but they work in Cricut too! So you’ll get double the usage out of this font bundle, or if you’re a Cricut product creator you just found the jackpot!
I’ve also used fonts here in my workbooks, the teacherpreneur business planner, graphics and course materials for all of my courses. It’s a-maze-ing!
This bundle truly is insane because it’s only $16.
This font bundle has 20 fonts for $19, and it includes everything from elegant, flowy fonts all the way to fun, cute fonts. It’s a truly great variety for the price! These are great for title pages, but I especially love this set for T-shirts, bags, mugs, and other wearable products.
This one is another 5-star-rated commercial font bundle with adorable fonts that are great for everything!
Once again this is a set of full-use fonts, and you’ll use them everywhere! I especially love this one for Cricut fonts. I have no idea how to use a Cricut but I’m going to learn just to use these font bundles!
